Charities earn a 45% profit margin on every package sold. Because the program includes CRA-compliant split receipting, donors receive both a valuable product and a charitable tax receipt, which significantly increases participation.

Split receipting allows donors to receive a charitable tax receipt for the eligible donation portion of their purchase. For example, if a donor pays $180 and the fair market value of the case of soup is $99, the donor will receive an $81 ($180 – $99) charitable tax receipt.
